A nine-year-old girl tragically lost her life after being struck by a bus operated by the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) on Saturday, according to police reports. The victim has been identified as Bhuvana.
As per the police, the incident occurred when Bhuvana was crossing the road near Panchajanya Vidya Peeth School in Rajajinagar with her two sisters, and she was allegedly hit by the BMTC bus.
A senior police official stated that the girl sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead by the medical staff. Following the accident, the bus driver fled the scene, and efforts are underway to apprehend him. Authorities have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.
